MEMORY BOXES

My final degree project was all about keeping memory and treasures safe. At the start of my project, I created a triangular shaped textured memory box out of guilding metal. I wanted to explore new shapes and ideas. I used a hammered texture to try and give the feel of hessian, as textures and fabrics are a good way of evoking memories.

I then created a small triangular wearable box that you can hold your treasures close to you and take them with you where ever you go. I have textured this box with lace that was used on my mums bridesmaids dresses

This is a project that truly inspires me and today I still use this design to create meaningful and personal silver lockets.
